The Feldhues Group

The company rose from a small, traditional butcher shop in the town centre of Metelen in Westfalia, the western part of Germany. Today, the group consists of two modern plants, measuring a total of approx. 8,000 m² in size. Focus is placed on the production of special cooked meat products with design. The Feldhues Group has approx. 120 employees. In 2022/2023, the German production site was doubled in space and a new office building was inaugurated.

The Feldhues - sites

The first production plant, Feldhues Fleischwarenbetriebe GmbH, was built in Metelen in 1978. Only 6 years later, it was decided to set up a second plant in the Republic of Ireland – Feldhues GmbH Fleischwarenproduktion in Clones, Co. Monaghan.

At the beginning of 2013, the Feldhues family decided to stop production at the oldest site in Metelen, Feldhues Fleischwarenbetriebe GmbH. At the same time, capacities at the Irish site were expanded further.

The Irish site, Feldhues GmbH Fleischwarenproduktion, mainly serves the English and Irish markets and now also produces, besides kids novelty sausage, classic sausage specialities. It also runs state-of-the-art slicing and packaging lines for pre-pack in diverse formats.

Feldhues Fun Foods GmbH (Head Office)

In 2004, a completely new, state-of-the-art manufacturing site was taken into operation in Metelen – feldhues fun foods GmbH. The company focuses on the manufacture of character meat products for larger customers, mostly B2B.

The fulfilment of country specific requirements in the field of sufficient shelf life and matching recipes is one of the core competences of feldhues fun foods GmbH - with an export share of up to 80%.
